    Re: FORT Koffee Klatch

Ok, I posted about the new refrigerator saga the other day. Taking all the doors off, it being a huge hassle, etc.

Well the new fridge has ice and water in the door (can you believe I've NEVER had that before?) and it has a light there. Everytime I walk by, I see the light out of the corner of my eye and keep thinking the door is open and turn around to check it (as the old fridge door would not stay shut, I think I am programmed about seeing the fridge light and assuming the stupid door is open)

I know, its so trivial, but it gives me a start every time I'm in the kitchen.

I am also loving the new fridge and find myself opening it just to admire the roomy interior. Lame I know. I guess it doesn't take much to entertain me.

I love that one! I don't have any offspring, but I'm going to steal that one and use it when one of my "tutees" (tutoring students) has a know-it-all moment.

    Re: Flooding in midwest

I'm north of it, but not by much. Findlay, Ohio is about 40 miles south of here. It is the Blanchard River that is causing so much trouble there. The Maumee River is still rising, but we are about a mile away and up fairly high. Waterville and Grand Rapids, OH might take a hit from it tonight and tomorrow as they are pretty low.

No flooding here in Columbus, just minor under overpass kind of things. It's located pretty much right between me and veej.

Pretty much the same here, lights flickered a couple of times. Joey on his HIGH shelf in the closet anyway. Daddy looking for something to use as pontoons just in case. Otherwise all is ok here. Thanks so much for checking.

Whew, glad to hear my FORT friends and their critters are high and dry.

Joey's got the right idea on his shelf. I just hope you don't have to get up there with him Gabriel.

I have been known to run a pretty darn good emergency shelter with hot showers, hot food and laundry after those hurricane's in Florida.
I still have some of Gut's peach cobbler left over, so if you need to evac, let me know and I'll start cooking and save you some cobbler.

That's not from the hurricane in 2006 is it?

    Have you named her yet?

All of you in the floody area--I hope you don't get it any worse. I'd be more than glad to take some of the water, as we've had none in months here. Be carefyul y'all.

Actually the hurricanes I'm talking about were in 2004, but the cobbler is much more recent. From Tues night. Better hurry though. My husband is putting a hurting on it.

You know that you're in trouble when the Weather Channel shows up!!! I see that Jeff Morrow is in Findlay today.

I just got off the phone with my sister who lives in Mexico. She caught the fringes of Dean, but got less rain than we did.
