While we're on the subject of tatoos, I just wonder where these tats (depending on where they are) are going to end up, in later life, when everything starts to head "south". If you're in a nursing home, the attendants are either going to sell tour tickets, or call in all of their attendant friends to see the show....discreetly, of course! :blush :rofl

I've never gotten a tattoo. In fact I've only considered it in the last 5 years or so. Don't know why I'm thinking about it now. Just worked out that way. :)

At 58 I don't imagine things are going to be moving much further. :winkgrin I'll probably get it rather large on my right shoulder blade. Pain doesn't bother me, and since it's covered most of the time it won't interfere with business.

The one thing that's kept me from getting a tat is what happens to it over time. The color fades and the lines get dull. This design will be easy to re-color and keep looking new.

Well, I haven't made the decision yet. I'm going to go with the henna tat I was inspired by RG to get. We'll see what happens after the trial run. :)

You'd be surprised that there is not a lot of discomfort. A lot depends on location, but after a few min., it almost becomes soothing. Something about the brains endorphins kicking in.

Mine was not bad at all. I was extremely surprised as I was expecting major pain and it didn't happen.

I'm with ya on that! I can't imagine getting poked with needles by choice. :lol I've heard the ones you get around the wrist area are super painful when they go over that bone.

Re: tattoos, I have a very high tolerance to pain, and found that most areas aren't too bad, but there are some areas that hurt a lot, especially right on a bone. Ouch.

But, like with body piercings, you do it and it's over. And mine are on areas that aren't likely to head south.

Uncle D - with sunscreen, colors can stay really bright. But you're right that your design would be easy to touch up.

Livin - That is so frustrating! Sounds perfectly appropriate, taking their bats. They can get them back when they grow you some tomatoes ;)

As I mentioned before, I'll probably get the permanent tattoo on my back at the shoulder blade. However, I'm thinking I may get the henna version on the outside of my calve. I wear shorts 365 so everyone will see it. It will be a good test. :)

Well, any pain is too much for me. People keep saying "it's not too bad". The fact that the word "bad" appears in that sentence is disturbing to me, but as long as you all are happy....enjoy! :nod
