    We had a discussion just yesterday that "page 35 of this forum" is not the same for everybody. It all depends on how many messages you have set to view per page. It would be better to post the post number.

    I think veejer is referring to how many pages back in the General Discussion list of threads that one was. That's a constant setting; you can change how many posts per page but not how many topics per forum index page.

    Now why would I do that?

    To answer bama's question: 40. It's a good compromise between having small download sizes (important if you refresh a lot, like a live show discussion thread) and not having so many pages that it becomes unwieldy.
