Isn't that an oxymoron? HE and high efficiency? I would have to suggest SHE and seriously high efficient

Or you could just go to Dairy Queen and get a Butterfinger blizzard.

mmmmm Peanut butter and ice cream. Love it.

Well I bought a new furnace and ac last night. Gets put in on Thrusday. These last two summers with no air have been murder so it will be great to get it in.

Good for you! Is it all one unit? That's what we have, anyway.

About what is you average temp right now?

Ana Bannana-i have a new front loading washer and dryer and I love it!!!! It holds a ton of laundry and so I get my laundry done in half the time it used to take me and it is cheaper on the hydro bill as well. I really like it because of those reasons but also for the fact that the agitator isn't in the way and I can put my king size comforter in it instead of going up to a laundry mat to do it in their machines.

They are quite pricey but well worth it to me just in saving me time alone.

Thanks Shyra! It will be delivered tomorrow and I can hardly wait!

nlmcp - good for you! We had a new furnace and central a/c installed a few years ago, and with this crazy heat wave, I must say one of the best purchases I have EVER made. People don't generally consider Michigan a hot place to live, but in July, the humidity and the heat can be DEADLY.

Amy Lee - my brother can make a mean Peanut Butter malt. OMG, if I hadn't given up sugar, I would be on my way to his house for one right now.

It's in two pieces. The furnace in the basement and the ac outside.

Summers here are in the upper 80's low 90's but it's been in the upper 90's on and off the last few days and the house gets hot and stays hot. That's right Ana, plus the humidity can be bad even on a color day.

Another thing few of us have here are basements. Those who do have them are constantly pumping them out in rainy weather it seems.
Our furnace is called a heat pump, which wouldn't work in your part of the country. Gets too cold up there. The heat and ac are all in the one unit which is outside.

The reason I asked about the temperature is that we're trying to decide if we should visit Mackinaw City in September or wait till spring. Last year the flowers were so beautiful in July that we are spoiled and want to see them again. I believe that drive up the west side of Michigan is one of the nicest ones in the country.
