Do you think those who have an accent to us find us sexy when we talk? Anyone have any personal insight to this?

The same thing was said about Y2K and as far as I know nothing really happened to the computers.

The only thing I can think of about the computers, and any other device that might have a built-in daylight savings clock, would be that you may have to manually change the time (if it otherwise used to do it automatically on its own) and then keep an eye out for when it thinks DST really is and you may have to change the time again. My vcr has a setting to automatically detect DST but I don't use it. My computer automatically changes itself but there may be a patch at Microsoft that will ensure the computer changes on the correct date. I'll have to check into it.

Here's the official word from Microsoft on how it'll affect computers: http://support.microsoft.com/gp/dst_homeuser

The short version is that for XP systems, Microsoft has to send out a patch so the clock will correctly reflect the DST changes. That one will be part of the regular February patch cycle. Vista is okay, no patches needed there.

I saw Jane Seymour on Johnny Carson once - she said to sound American she had to flatten her vowels and talk through her nose. But she married an American, so maybe it isn't all that bad.

Hugh Laurie does a fantastic job talking with an American accent.

I actually have some, but they're such a pain to take anywhere. Plus, I'm lazy! I generally use them when I'm brewing a pot, rather than just one cup.

Anemone - thanks for the tip. I'll keep an eye out for it

Misskitty - I tried combining the herbal with a black tea, but I didn't feel like it added much to the flavor. Like I said, I like my tea really strong. My cousin bought it thinking it was the "leaded" version as well and she won't drink it either. She now gives it to her son (he's 3) and he loves it - he calls is "Boy Tea." Of course, he'd probably enjoy the black tea more, but as he says, "Caffeine makes me crazy!"

I was thinking of the immortal words of Socrates, who said, "... I drank what?"

Crit, what about using a caramel flavored creamer in your tea? Or actually dropping a caramel in very hot tea -- would it melt enough to impart the flavor?
