Just got an invite to an office offsite for a Friday afternoon. The invite says to bring your swimsuit, towel, a dish to pass, blahblah.

I don't feel too comfortable in a swimsuit around my family, and certainly will not be joining in the water games. A guy here said I should just skip the event if I don't wanna play along.

That's silly, Ana Bannana (the guy, not you). Surely there is more than one person who would rather not wear a bathing suit in front of their colleagues. I don't see anything wrong whatsoever with wearing shorts and a t-shirt, or even casual pants and shirt, to the event.

I agree, Rattus. There are people who have known me for 20 years who have never seen so much as bare arms on me--what are the chances that I'm going to parade around in my purple leopard-spot speedos in front of them? I suspect that the invitation to bring a swimsuit just means that there will be swimming available, not compulsory water exercises.

WAY TO GO MR. MYROSIEDOG! I know what you mean--when I was a kid, I was afraid to do anything truly evil because I knew there were consequences. My parents NEVER spanked me, but I knew that if i pushed the line, I would be punished! One of my friends is a teacher--big, tall, athletic guy--and one of the kids (high school age) was smarting off to him and pushing around smaller kids. My friend grabbed him by the neck and dragged him to the principal's office. When the kid squeaked out that he was going to sue, my friend told the kid to go right ahead. The kid, of course, never sued, and the parents were horrified at what their brat had done. I don't think kids should be beaten, but when they knowingly disregard the law, they need to be punished.

If I really wanted to go, I'd go..even without the swimsuit. I wouldn't think bringing a swimsuit is mandatory, anyway.

Now THAT would liven up the party! Still, if Ana Banana isn't comfortable in swimwear, I doubt that nude swimming is going to happen, either.

That's a vision I could have happily gone through my entire life without imagining.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it.

Clairol Nice n Easy Root Touch Up: easy to use?

I thought someone made a post about this a while ago but I can't see the preceding pages to check... darned work computer! It's the stuff that's supposed to be for root touch ups in between trips to the salon. I had a question to anyone who's used it--is it easy to use and does it actually touch up any greys in the roots? I have dark hair and worry that the dye will stain the tub/sink or whereever you're supposed to rinse this off in. Thanks for any info!
