Yeah, as if that isn't enough..if that kid on the skateboard had hit a stone or debris in the street, he could have easily fallen, baby and all.

It was about 3yrs ago the last time I rented a car. I googled cheap car rentals and I found a site, might have been Kayak, that was really cheap. I know it was because when I went to enterprise to pick the car up the guy asked what site I had booked through because he had never seen anyone get a two week rental for so cheap. I always google car rentals and then pick the cheapest one the site comes up with and most of the time it's Enterprise. Only one time did I get mad and that was because when I went to pick the car up the guy upsold me insurance in a way that made me think it was insurance I had to have in order to get the rental. I called and complained and they sent me the fee back. So I would highly recommend Enterprise but I also recommend booking through a discount site. Now that Kayak has gotten popular it might not be the cheapest site anymore.

I've heard it said that rental companies DON'T make most of their money from actually renting cars. They make it from upselling and extra charges. I once saw a car rental agent sell two ladies insurance and other stuff that they probably didn't need.

    - I always take my own GPS.
    - I have good insurance that covers me when driving rentals.
    - If I have to pay extra for a second driver, I usually choose another company.
    - I've booked our last couple of rentals through Costco, and that's been a money saver.

A little while ago my husband, and my best friend, Colleen, and I drove up to Papakea Village in Kaanapaali where my beloved sister, Jan, and I vacationed several times and I bought a Lei and some of her ashes and I put them in the sea on our favorite beach. It was very emotional, but I know Jan was with me and I know she was delighted. After that we went to the nearby bar where Jan and I spent some happy, goofy afternoons and had a drink to her. All of us loved her and miss her and this tribute to her was what all of us needed to do. Jan, Colleen and are all Geminis and loved each other in a way that others might not get. But, hey, Get over it "other guys"! Just because we have dual personalities.... I think that I've started rambling nonsense now because I don't know how to feel. Really, all I want to do is just go to bed and cry, but it's Colleen's birthday today and tonight we'll go out and celebrate.

Thanks for letting me share. I love all of you who share with me and let me bare my soul when I need to. I'm lucky to have this special Fort to come to in happy times and sad!

This is a pretty unique site, isn't it?

It sounds like your time spent memorializing your sister was absolutely perfect, and I'm touched that you shared this with us.

Oh sweet Punkin!! Don't just celebrate Colleen's birthday. Celebrate Jan's life! Celebrate that you had a beautiful sister who was wonderful! Don't mourn her in a place where you shared your love. She wouldn't like that. Celebrate that she lived and was loved and is missed! Try not to be sad that she's not there but rejoice that you have such wonderful memories of her being there. Know she wants you to celebrate her life and not mourn her passing. I wish I could be there to raise a toast with you.

What a wonderful way to celebrate your sister and the bond that you shared. You are in a beautiful place and hopefully your night will be one that makes you feel better. It will take time to not feel the tears coming on, but your sister is still there with you as you stated. Cheers to you! I know that Gemini personality well and think you should embrace it tonight
