That Donald Sterling (owner of the LA Clippers) story has completely flabbergasted me. I listened to the audio yesterday and couldn't believe my ears.

Dream of apartheid America much, Donnie???

After much research, I've come to the conclusion that I have a TERRIBLE cold instead of allergies. I coughed the entire night. I didn't have any Mucinex on hand. I got some today. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. Okay, maybe a serial killer. lol

My daughter has had a cold every single month this year. Her doctor isn't concerned, but she picked the brains of two doctors in our family during a celebration week we just had and one thinks it could be a tonsils issue. She's going to go to a nose, ear, throat specialist.

Does you daughter work around children? I've noticed that when my mom was a school teacher, she seemed to pick up lots of colds and viruses. Since she retired, she hasn't had many.

I had my tonsils out as a kid. I don't get colds that often, but it seems that when I do it's in the spring or summer. Of course, I have allergies too, so it's difficult to tell them apart.

Just for the record. Some days, you're just grumpy for no good reason. Today is my day.

A friend has had the same thing Gutmutter and her doctor told her that if this latest round of antibiotics don't do the trick, her next option is to have her tonsils out. She's not really looking forward to that, but doesn't know what else to do. She's been sick, literally, all winter. Hope your daughter is able to shake whatever it is and feel better.

Lil Bit - her doctor didn't want to give her antibiotics because he feels they're overused. Well, there's a time and a place when you SHOULD use them. She's been told about the possibility of tonsil removal. She would jump at it if it meant being healthy!

Had mine removed the summer I turned 16. That was the summer from hell. Summer vacation, and I was sick from the moment classes ended. Ended up weighing 90 pounds. Once I lost the tonsils and adenoids, I finally knew what it was like to breathe through my nose, like a normal person. The only sore throats I get now are the ones from post nasal drip. I wouldn't wish that surgery on anyone, but it did turn my life around. I would have a sore throat on the right for a week, then the left side for a week, it would seem to be gone for a few days, and then BOTH sides would become infected. I went through that back-to-back-to-back.

The cold that I have must be the granddaddy of colds. Even extra strength Mucinex is having difficulty keeping the cough down. I STILL coughed much of the night! This is crazy, because the last time I had a really bad cough, which was about 5 years ago, the Mucinex knocked it out flat. I will be so glad when this thing runs it's course. I'm trying to avoid being grumpy. lol
