It's interesting to hear people talk about their age. Everyone has different views... Some approach age with a positive attitude, I'm only 60, other people approach it negatively, I'm 60. So how do you think?
I know everyone ages differently and we all have different levels of physical health. I tend to look on the positive side. I guess I never really think about getting older and it stuns me when I hear people talking negatively about their age when they are younger than I am. I still think of myself as being younger than I am. It's only when I look in the mirror that I see the 30 year old in my mind's eye is actually in her mid 50's.

Hubby took me out to dinner on my 60th. I remember being really excited that day, that I had reached 60 and was still in very good shape. I felt I had accomplished something. So I TOLD EVERYBODY!!!! And all had a good laugh and congratulated me. I didn't say "I'm only 60", I said proudly "I'm 60!" So I don't see that as being negative.

My parents made it to 90, so my reference point tells me I still have a ways to go. I don't have any kids so I never actually grew up, LOL.

I had the most horrible cough once that prescription cough syrup wouldn't help. I tried the Mucinex for cough pills. OMG. It knocked it out. I could finally sleep. Great stuff. The problem is that after a few days I got blurry vision. I stopped taking it and haven't take it since. The blurry vision went away and it is one of the possible side effects on the bottle. I might use it again, if I get another really bad cough though.

That is what I'm talking about! Celebrate your age and enjoy it!

and...you have four legged kids who can be like two legged kids. Except...their back talk is disguised at meow's.

I'm 67, and my hubby is 73. We are still very active, and are having the best time of our lives.

I'm 68 and my husband is 65 (yeah, I'm a cougar!) and aside from my husband's bad back, we are healthy and enjoy life. I have no problem with aging. Hope I can continue to do it gracefully. But I have known so many people who have not made it this far, so I feel very fortunate. My dearest sister died at 62 and her first great-grandchild was just born in January. I wish she could have been here to enjoy that.

My husband is 67 and I am 59 and age is just a number. I just told him as long as we are healthy that number means nothing. At 59 I have a 11, 6 and 3 year old grandkids so I have to stay young to keep up with them. I just had the 3 and 6 year old for 8 days. They love coming to their old grandparents house.

I've never believed that age is just a number. That has never made sense to me, since the longer I live, the more I know and have done.

What is your preferred pill-taking technique? I've been taking antihistamines all of my life and, not until I was grown, did I finally develop my preferred technique. I used to take Dristan, and that nasty, bitter taste on my tongue led to me calling it "the poison pill"; that's how I used to ask my mother for it...."I need a poison pill." I finally learned to, first, get a mouthful of water and then drop the pill through the liquid straight back to my throat, and swallow in one big gulp. Problem solved! I must have passed my lesson on to my son, because he won't take a pill any other way. Capsules are simple since you just have to hold your head forward and allow the capsule to float up to swallowing range.

Those Mucinex tablets are HUGE and GROSS!! I don't know why I thought this stuff came in a liquid form.

I take quite a few vitamins at the time, I open my throat, take some water and GULP! hubby always says I would be great on a survivor challenge.
