It's the rare country song that draws me in like this one did.
"...each affects the other, and the other affects the next, and the world is full of stories, but the stories are all one." - Mitch Albom, one helluva writer
When you throw a rock into a pack of dogs, you know which one you hit by the one that yelps!
It's starting to snow here again really hard. And to think yesterday morning I heard birds singing that reminded me so much that spring was around the corner! We're predicted 4-8 inches of snow from this.
"At the beach, life is different. Time doesn't move hour to hour but mood to moment. We live by the currents, plan by the tides, and follow the sun." - anonymous
Snow AGAIN? Oh my. Yesterday it was almost 80 degrees here. (NC) Perfect weather, but today it's getting colder and we are getting another cold snap soon.
I am not sure if I would rather have the snow or the crazy winds yesterday. We had gusts going to 60 mph most of the night. I was sure I was going to have to click my heels just to get back to Kansas last night
There's no place like home!
Yesterday we had a taste of spring with mild temps warm sun and soft breezes! Snow was melting, the air itself felt hopeful and renewed and today its all gone. Right now its snowing and the winds are blasting--its so depressing!!!
What do the little birds do when it is freezing and blizzarding?
JK, I get you about the vagaries and quirks of the hodgepodge that is the English language. You can't make sense of "horrific/terrific" because there is no sense to be made of it. Now take Latin, that is a perfect language with no puzzling conflicts. Makes me wonder why it's dead.
