    Gosh darn it! It happens in threes. Earlier this week, I posted that I ruined two of my no-fail staples: meatloaf and lemon bars. They both turned out subpar (to be kind). Today I made my chocolate chip cookies, which everyone always loves. Well, I ran out of eggs so I had to concoct an egg substitute. Uh, don't. This tastes horrible, too! For the love of Pete--please...let this not continue for the rest of the year!

    (Sorry, but we are just SO excited about Florida this year. After saying for so many years that "this is the year of the Gator" and it never happens, that getting to the National Title Game is about to cause me to burst with excitement)

    Ok, so the day started out horribly with a trip to the ER, but I did get to watch football, eat my new year's day traditional meal so I'm going for 2 out of 3 and calling it a semi good start to the new year (as long as there are no more trips to the ER anytime soon)

    I'm starting to eat food other than toast and tea! Which is good. I spent the entire day in bed, mind you, but it's good to have an apple and some leftover lasagna.

    Oh, yes! We went to Taco Bell! No wonder hubby wasn't feeling so well- We rooted for Boise, too, because a good friend of ours just moved from there...so what the hay? It was a fun day!

    Lois - you were asking about the Magic Bullet? I guess it's just smaller and easier to use for small tasks rather than using a huge blender or food processor. It's dishwasher safe, microwaveable, and comes with color coded glasses. I find it great for small portions of things. And it's a breeze to clean. They've been on sale for a lower price than when initially offered through tv. Are you thinking of getting one?
