This seems to be a growing story. Should we make a thread in Current Events? "What did Christie know, and when did he know it?"

On a brighter note, it's raining here today!!! And we have rain scheduled for Tuesday, and about every other day for the 10 day forecast. Yay!

Yep the little groundhog bugger must have sent the bad weather our way. Snow everywhere at my house.

Isn't winter going to last six more weeks regardless of what the rat says?
According to my calendar, March 20 is six weeks and four days from today.

I heard yesterday that we are in store for two more snows, according to the Farmer's Almanac!

I said that on Facebook today. I don't need some rodent to tell me about winter

If Winter & snow are completely over by May, it's pretty good for here. Usually gardens have to be covered at night 'till at least the middle of June. We're expecting lows in the -20's this week, with highs in the single digits. We got a bunch of snow dumped on us at the end of the week & then it turned too cold to even shovel. Today it's actually a degree or two above freezing, so I'm about to go out & try to do a bit before the Superbowl starts.

Dumb groundhog! Doesn't he know what it's like in the Northwest?

    Re: FORT Koffee Klatch

We finally got some cooler weather and some rain today. I'm sick of the weather being sunny and almost 70. I love the cold and rain. I used to always take walks in the rain.
When my kids were little, I would put our pajamas in the dryer and we would go out to the park behind our house and go puddle jumping. We'd have so much fun. We'd go out and get soaked, then we would come home, put our warm jammies on straight from the dryer and have hot chocolate.
I miss those days so much. My daughter has carried on the tradition and goes puddle jumping with my grandkids.

Their friends moms thought I was nuts (but their friends loved me) because "they'll get sick". People don't get sick from being wet and cold. They had a great time and that's what mattered to me.

My kids have told me that they had great, happy childhoods. My daughter wants her kids to have the same kind of childhood that she had. That's the greatest compliment I could ever receive.

I hope everybody is having a great day!

I forgot to tell you guys, my husband came home last week, (he's home for a whole week!) and he surprised me with Eagles tickets! We went to San Jose last Wednesday to the concert. The only good thing about being in this darn wheelchair is the great parking! We were just a few feet away from the entrance. We had seats in the 8th row but I was able to sit in my wheelchair in the aisle so we had the best seats in the house. It was so much fun!
