Yes I have had a great year, enjoying life to the fullest.
There's no place like home!
Just a quick HI!
We've finished our cruise, and are now in Orlando planning to spend a couple of days with one of my favorite fictional characters - Harry Potter.
The cruise was very nice - food and crew were great, but the brand new Royal Princess was a bit of a disappointment. Poor layout, changes in some of the things that we've always loved about cruising. But no one will feel sorry for a person who has just spent a week cruising around the Caribbean. My most special souvenir was bought in St. Thomas - a beautiful white and chocolate diamond band in honor of our 50th anniversary.
One favorite memory was our tour in Eleuthera. Can you believe they took a group of strangers into an elementary school where the kids sang their national anthem, recited the pledge to their flag, and then HUGGED us? It was a wonderful reminder of what the "good old days" used to be like in the States.
I'm busily catching up on all the shows you have all commented on in my absence. Sure makes it easy!!!!
Sounds like a great trip AZ! I'm so glad you had a good time. I'm sorry your cruise wasn't all you had hoped or expected but it still sounds like you had a great time.

It sounds great AZ..

The average dog is a nicer person than the average person
Happy anniversary year AZ!
I smashed my finger yesterday. Typing is painful. May not be contributing much for a few days.
Count your blessings!
Glad you had a nice trip! Congratulations on the anniversary. I've never cruised so I have nothing to compare your experience to but since it was -18 here this weekend the Caribbean sure sounds good.
That was a great message! And I've had a terrible day, so thank you.I love random acts of kindness.Really, realy appreciated.Scott- RIP SDL<3
Hi AZChristian! Sorry the Royal Princess wasn't as good as you expected but like you said, cruising around the Caribbean would be wonderful, no matter what. The excursion on Eleuthera to the elementary school would be right up my alley. I would have enjoyed that so much. I once chaperoned h.s. students of French to Quebec City, where we also toured a high school. That was a blast. Congrats on your 50th anniversary and your new diamond wedding band sounds lovely. Enjoy the rest of your trip!
Gutmutter, sorry about your smashed finger.
My question of the day is : Why can't I seem to find a holiday table runner longer than 72 inches? I have leaves that extend the table to 96 inches and I like the look of a runner without having to cover up the dining room table.
