I agree, these containers are cheap and would work well. Saran wrap is also good. A while back my MIL sent banana bread for my kids. She wrapped it in saran and then aluminum and it was fresh and in-tact when it arrived.

Thanks for the suggestions, everybody. I may, in addition to the cookies, send out some pumpkin nut bread. I start making loaves right about now to have for Thanksgiving and I always wrap in Saran Wrap first and then aluminum foil. They freeze nicely, too.

In the "you can't make this stuff up category"...this is my current facebook post:

Came home from a few hours of shopping, carrying 2 large bags and with my handbag worn crossbody. I open the door and my dog gives me one helluva greeting. Can you see where this is going? She jumps up, gets tangled in the skinny handbag strap, can't extricate herself, and I am just about ready to topple over face-first onto the hard granite tiled kitchen floor. My son saved the day as he is walking into the kitchen as this is happening. We get untangled, I start limping towards the kitchen table and notice drops of blood on the counter. Yep, somehow I cut my finger. lol Dogs...gotta love them!

Eastcoastmom, I have a great idea. I'm also in Cali so how about you send me some of that pumpkin bread as a test to make sure they will arrive safely to your friend.
It would be a huge sacrifice on my part but I would be willing to do it to help you out.

Ziplock has round containers with screw on lids. I like to use those when gifting mixes. Hot chocolate, cookies, soups. I printed the recipes, rolled them up, and tied it along with a measuring spoon, spatula or ladle to the container with ribbon. Printed a round label to stick on the top.

I like to use decorated plastic bags for bread. I wrap the loaves in plastic wrap and then slide them in the decorated bags.

I HATE that commercial with the 1 year old baby sleeping with the puppy. That is just NASTY!!! Ewwwwwww.....I couldn't stand the idea of my baby sleeping entwined with a dog. The smell.......

    My fault....it's not a commercial; it's a viral video.

So, you saw video of a baby and a puppy snuggling and your first thought was "gross"?

I thought it was adorable. The puppy looks clean. And trust me, kids aren't all that germ free no matter how hard you try to keep them clean.

My granddaughter snuggles with their lab, their teeny mutt AND her baby the older cat. Nothing gross about it

For me, it's not about the germs as much as it is about the smell. It just makes me itch. Looks and smells are 2 different things.
