I got OVER worrying about those clowns years ago.

If I catch a cold as soon as my throat starts to itch, I take hourly doses of Ester C and it either knocks it out or greatly shortens it. Chicken soup in the crockpot with lots of veggies and garlic and fresh herbs is next, then sleep and fluids.

I take extra vitamin C supplement as soon as I feel a head cold coming on. I also like to drink lots of hot tea. It's a good way to get extra fluids, and the hot steaminess of tea seems to help thin the congestion some.

It just turned cold here. We got a blast of overnight low 30's about 2 weeks early ... and had to turn the heat on last night. Boo!
Bacteria dies pretty quickly when they aren't on skin or a damp surface. It's not about the cold - it's about air and a non-hospitable environment. Coughing and sneezing into your arm is ALWAYS better.

Cold air doesn't kill bacteria, but it does slow down their growth

A friend told me she went to a "green" baby shower last Sunday ... green as in eco friendly not the color green.

I have never heard of this . Has anyone ever heard of it or been to one?

I guess it is also being done for some Wedding showers!

None of the gifts were wrapped. The guests just put a little card with their name and description of the item on the gift.

I have gone to putting gifts in reusable bags or containers of some type when possible ... but this was something new to me.

I still haven't figured out what (besides hot soapy water) to use on granite. Vinegar, bleach and ammonia cannot be used or it can damage the granite.

You are not supposed to use vinegar (or lemon or ammonia) because of the acidic content.

Those were very strict instructions given to me when installed.
