When I had my spider bite last June I thought I had the flu. I was "unconscious" for 36 hours - dead asleep except for brief periods to stumble to the bathroom and call in sick for work. Someone from work had to come get me to take me to the doctor. I couldn't drive. The first day, my elderly neighbor who I keep an eye on called to see if I was ok because she saw my car in the driveway. It sure was good to know that someone would notice if I didn't follow my usual routine.

Maybe for Halloween you could/should dress as a spider predator.

Spiders might even offer a teaching moment for your class again!

You know, I haven't fully recovered... I still have an ache in the area that was so red and inflamed. I wonder if there was permanent tissue damage. I'll have to be sure to mention it next time I have an appointment.
My "Friday Challenge" for my art classes today was to come up with a new verse and illustrate it for the viral youtube hit, "What Does the Fox Say?" All my students know it and none of the teachers did until I started telling them about it. How many here have seen it?

I'm guessing that the tissue damage was fairly deep and is taking time to do the deep-healing. DO be sure to mention it to your doctor.

I'm familiar with that crazy "What Does The Fox Say?" video! I love it!

Love the Fox video. What a treat. I'll have to share that with my niece who's 3. I think she'll be amused and not scared. lol

Gutmutter, what I would like is to know is how your demonstation of another verse went. Did you dance it out? lol Sounds like fun.

I think you should do a goofy, nonsense dance to it with your niece! Get her to join in a dance with you!

Well this was my attempt at something humorous. But it's also funny because I can relate. The real life circumstances, however, I don't find funny.

They had to come up with something the fox says that isn't in the song and illustrate the fox saying it. I had fox images run off they could use or draw from. I find they don't often have the confidence to draw something like a fox without some kind of reference. Then when we voted on them (for prizes) I would say, "What does the fox say?" And they had to provide the answer written on their drawing while holding it up. There sere some really cute ones.

I like the fox idea. I'll have to work on a routine for my niece that I don't scare her. lol
