My grandma swore by baking soda and vinegar. She could use them to clean just about anything in the house! Her hall closet wasn't cluttered with lots of different cleaning products like my mom's was and her home was always spotless. She was also a great cook. I really looked up to her and tried to learn a lot from her.

You can mix 3 parts water and 1 part distilled vinegar to wash smooth skin fruits and vegetables. Be sure to rinse in cool water unless, you like the taste of vinegar. It helps remove bacteria, wax and pesticides. I keep a spray bottle of the mix by the sink.

Thank you for this idea! I never feel like I am cleaning my f&vs good enough and have become more aware/concerned about this as my young kids start eating more on their own. I am going to try this on their apples.

We do use the vinegar solution to clean windows. Works amazing.

We used a vinegar and water solution with newspapers to wash the windows.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it.

I used to have some Tupperware that as it got old, for some reason it just started to breakdown and got sticky.

Whoops! I was sure it had happened days ago and you had already been at it for a while. I guess I need to remember that everybody doesn't panic at my lower rate of speed.

Maybe it's just the nature of plastic.
