My friend, who joined the Peace Corps, has resigned his assignment and returned to the states! Sounds like he finally came to his senses, much to my relief. Interestingly enough, he resigned shortly after completing his 3 months of training. It's getting rockier and rockier over there.

The 49ers prayed up a power failure to try to turn the game after the Ravens ran off a HUGE TD on them just after halftime. It was only the longest kick return in NFL history!

My daughter is "eloping" to avoid having her dad's wife at her wedding, but wanted me to make her wedding dress. I just finished it and mailed it to her at the post office. I cried on the way home.

    Aw, Gut I'm sorry.

Did your daughter talk to her father about this before they decided on elopement or is that kind of discussion just not possible?

    Re: FORT Koffee Klatch

It was one of those cliche situations where she was my best friend, cheated, broke up the family, married him after the divorce... this daughter was in middle school (read: totally aware and judgemental) at the time and will never forgive her. Her dad has terminal cancer and still won't meet with her if the new wife isn't included. Sad, I know, but I understand why she doesn't want her "stepmother" involved. Still... I'd like to be at my daughter's wedding.

I'm curious about your daughter's Katwise coat. How did she come across this and where does she wear it? I've never heard of it, nor have I seen one.

I don't remember where we first discovered them, but it was easy to make. I have some darling pictures of her wearing it, but I never did figure out how to post pictures here. I'll put it as my avatar... that I can do.
