My friend's 90 year old parents are going to be picked up within the hour by her cousin from MA and taken back to his house where there are full utilities, so that's a huge relief.

KatesMom, PB is in the arcade right now, so I think she's good From what she said a day or so ago, I think she missed the worst of it, but her temperatures dipped significantly.

We were back at school today. The kids were wound up, of course, but that's to be expected.

Yes, Things weren't too bad around here. Certainly not nearly as bad as parts of NJ and NY. We do still have some roads blocked by fallen trees and some folks are still waiting for their power to come back on but, compared to lots of other folks we made out great.

ECM wrote again! It's a challenge to just get a bagel and a hot cup of coffee, and losing touch with immediate family is unnerving, but compared to the losses she's seen some people experience, she is feeling quite grateful.
