I'll have to look those up. I didn't know that there was a box elder beetle. I've only experienced the strong urine-smelling box elder bush, which I had removed immediately after moving in. Thank for a suggestion!

After Googling, alas it is not the boxelder critter. I've seen a couple of them before but never any kind of invasion. The boxelder bug is waaay too big. This bug is solid black.

I leave to chaperone a trip to Canada tomorrow so today I'm trying to get everything done and realizing I need to prioritize now. I spent the entire morning in the garden getting plants in and weeding. I have a mountain of dishes I'll probably do next... put on some music and just relax into it. That's the only thing that absolutely has to get done. I'm pretty good at letting things slide if I don't get to them (a little too good at that, come to think of it ).

We spent all morning cleaning our house. Man, we hadn't given it a thorough cleaning in a while. Feels good to have it done.

Doesn't it? It's so easy to let the cleaning go for a couple of weeks because it won't really matter but then it becomes more of a chore than it should be and the disorder just sucks the life out of you.

Montreal and Quebec. But we'll be seeing more of the inside of the bus than any other venue. I'm starting a new fabric piece and bringing my Kindle.

Yes, I agree! I spent some time organizing my closet and my yarn stash as well. Feels good to have things in their proper place!

prhoshay, I can't remember what part of the country you are in, but I'm wondering if you have a university nearby that has an extension service online? When we moved to the midwest the University of MN extension service (University of Minnesota Extension) was a great resource for questions like that!

MRD, I'm sorry to hear about your fall, but highly impressed that you didn't spill your drink. If you had ended up all wet, that would have just added insult to injury, literally!! I can sympathize because I can be a complete klutz. I managed to top off my long weekend by hammering my finger while working on my kitchen. I re-wrapped it this morning and I don't think I have ever seen my finger quite this shade of nearly-black.

On a different topic, does anyone here use an under sink water filtration system? I want to install one as part of our kitchen remodel, but I'm overwhelmed by the options (2 stage, 3 stage, reverse osmosis, etc). It would be nice to hear some first-hand opinions if anyone has been through this.

Do you have a digital camera? Since they don't move fast, maybe you can take a picture to either post here or email to the extension service.
