I think that would depend on the state. Walgreens and other "pharmacies" have always been allowed to carry wine and beer where I'm from.

The news is coming on after Oprah, and they are referring to the coming storm as "Snoprah" We'll get hit tonight. It's kind of neat (and a bit scary) to watch the satellite pics of it approaching. I live near Toronto and can see Lake Ontario at the end of my street. I bet we get extra hit with lake effect snow

All of you engulfed in the blizzard be safe. We are very lucky at the moment and have cold and sunny weather. The sun doesn't shine very often in Seattle in the winter.

Multiple years ago, Walgreens used to carry a fairly full liquor/beer/wine line, and then they removed it all. Looks like it's making its way back in. Rite-Aid never stopped carrying theirs, I do know that.

Maybe they had their license revoked for a period of time?

On a different note: to all those who have been or will be hit with this snow - stay safe and warm. And not that I want to rub it in; but, we are supposed to hit near 60 degrees tomorrow in Washington, DC. Which seems crazy for this time of year

My 25 minute ride took about 35 minutes, not too bad. The roads were a little slushy but the side streets were solid ice. It's starting up again though but that's okay by me...I'm off tomorrow. .

We're getting mostly freezing rain here, now. You can hear it hitting the windows..a level 2 warning out to drivers here in central Ohio.

I'm in MI and it's really coming down. We are under a blizzard warning and supposed to get 12-16 inches. It's crazy outside right now and the weather people are saying this is nothing, later tonight it's going to get really bad. I'm so happy to be inside just relaxing while all this craziness is going on outside.

It's definitely an ugly storm heading eastward.
