Gutmutter - it is supposed to be good luck if it rains on your wedding day. My folks said it poured on their wedding day and they were married for 65 years....and we hope MRD's daughter and her new hubby have the same luck.

It poured on my wedding day too, but that spring was one of the wettest on record-- it rained for at least 8 consecutive weekends, maybe more. Yeah, they say it's good luck, but what are they supposed to say? I think they just say that to make the bride and groom feel better, imo. We're coming up on 28 years but I think marriage is what you make it... it's hard work and sometimes, you do get lucky!
