Lovely photo, MRD. So glad everything went well. I hope you take off a few days and have a good rest after all that work.

I'm so stupid...when I first looked at the picture, I assumed the groom was the guy on the right (mind you I have MET MRD's hubby!) and thought 'Gee...he's kind of, ah, OLD for her! No offense to those married to people 20+ years older, it's just a reaction. Going to the coffeepot as soon as I say
congratulations and good luck to the happy couple

Isn't it good luck to have rain on your wedding day? I'm pretty sure there's an old saying to that effect. So glad it all went well. Now rest up and pamper yourself for a job well-done.

Gutmutter - it is supposed to be good luck if it rains on your wedding day. My folks said it poured on their wedding day and they were married for 65 years....and we hope MRD's daughter and her new hubby have the same luck.

    Beautiful picture MRD.

It rained on my wedding day and I have been at it 39 years so maybe there is something to it.

Lovely wedding photo, mrd! All your hard work paid off and you deserve a well-earned rest. Congratulations to all of you!

It poured on my wedding day too, but that spring was one of the wettest on record-- it rained for at least 8 consecutive weekends, maybe more. Yeah, they say it's good luck, but what are they supposed to say? I think they just say that to make the bride and groom feel better, imo. We're coming up on 28 years but I think marriage is what you make it... it's hard work and sometimes, you do get lucky!
