I always peel the whole batch at once, then keep them in a tightly sealed bowl, like Tupperware. I've never had a problem, but then, they never last more than a couple of days anyway.Originally Posted by Gutmutter;4123916;

History will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of social transition was not the strident clamor of the bad people, but the appalling silence of the good people. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Now I'm craving a hard boiled egg!! A little salt........yum! Makes me think of days at my grandmother's house with my mom. They used to boil the eggs and then keep them in the fridge, right inside the dairy door and we never had any problems with them going bad. During Easter my grandmother used to just put them in the crisper drawer of the fridge until we were ready to color them.
Yup, with donuts!!
I think I'll buy some eggs tomorrow myself.
Some days, there's nothing better than a good ol' boiled egg with a little salt and pepper! It can just hit the spot! I think they're even better when they are still a little bit warm!![]()

When you throw a rock into a pack of dogs, you know which one you hit by the one that yelps!
Yum, boiled egg with salt.
Or my favorite: egg salad.
I found that the grocery store sells a dozen boiled and peeled eggs in the deli for about 50 cents more than a dozen raw eggs. To me, it's worth it not to have to peel them.
Boiled eggs will last several days in the fridge. Growing up, we ALWAYS had them peeled and in a bowl in the fridge as that was my mom's favorite.
I'm now craving Gut's pickled eggs. Will have to make some soon.
Another easy way to get eggs to peel is to buy the eggs 3-4 days before you plan to boil them. "older" eggs will peel easier after boiling than "fresher" eggs. I know that sounds gross: "older", but they are still good to eat, just that they get a little more air in them in the fridge and the air pocket is what makes them easier to peel.
Que me amat, amet et canem meum

I just had a fried egg sandwich for dinner.

I like to make pancakes and butter mine and put a fried egg on it. I am not much on syrup and I like it better the other way.
