Usually I have to check around a bit, but it's usually Publix or Kroger in a neighborhood more upscale than mine.. For one that big, it'a actually best to get the cheapest frozen one because--fancy chefs sit down--pre brined. That's why it will say (contains x% of a salt solution) Anyway, I like taking a lot home to freeze, plus i'll admit it- without that big old ostrich sitting on a platter, it's just not like Thanksgiving to me. I think it's due to the popularity (and big profit from sales of) turkey fryers, but the last few years there seem to be just too many turkeys that could be mistaken for great big chickens. I do NOT want them!
