THanks for those great pics. And, it sure looks like Zac is smiling at us from above.

    MRD,
ITA with you regarding "My bad."
Not only is it grammatically incorrect, it just seems to diminish the user's apology. It becomes ludicrous.

I'll second that!! It also sounds so childish when spoken by adults.

I think in the business world employers have the right to make sure their employees speak properly, especially in occupations where they deal with the public.

I was in the insurance business for over 20 years, and you can believe we learned what to say to clients in certain situations, to Claims and Regional personnel, mortgage companies, fellow agents and their employees, etc.
It has served me in good stead to think before I open my mouth.

When an adult uses it, I have to resist the urge to just slap them.

When I was taking German, there is no translation for "excuse me" as in, "excuse me, I didn't mean to step on your foot". The word (and it escapes me) they use literally translates to: I give my guilt to you.

I kind of like that. Maybe I'll start saying that.

I'm so mad. I went to vote and they wouldn't let me because for some reason they think I live in the next town over. Mind you, they have no trouble sending my water bill to the new address and both the taxes for my old house and the taxes for my new house to my new address, but when it comes to voting, they don't think I live here? And my two grown children are still on their list at the old address, so I could have pretended to be my daughter and voted without any question. Oh well. I hope none of the races are close enough that it would have mattered.
    Count your blessings!

Gutmutter -- all of which proves the essential dumbing down of people.
Sorry you ran into all that trouble.

I voted. I went at around 1:30 this afternoon, and there were a lot of people there. It surprised me that there were that many in my small little community at that time of the day. I think there is going to be a big turnout this time, a bit unusual for a non-presidential election year.

I worked the polls... steady traffic all day. And I am exhausted.

I voted by mail last week - all of Oregon is by mail. I like it.
