    They are pig skin. Fat back is deep fried pig fat. Lard is the renderings from the fat of the entire pig.

    Gut, I had to do a lecture of the roots of Southern Cooking (also called the pigs and corn lecture) and I learned a LOT about pigs.

    Did you know that lard was used in bomb making in WWI and WWII? It was mixed with the nitro.

    Come south and I will take you on a tour of all the places that serve pork and pork products. :-)

    I was just talking with one of the nurses from the hospital and she said the little boy was loving his Spiderman and had it on his shoulders the rest of the night, once he finally woke up. i love it!

    Unk, that's so good to hear. That was a pretty awesome Spiderman. I'd drive around with that in my passenger seat.

    He could protect you from potential carjackers! It would be really cool if you would attach those silly string web-slingers to his wrists and you could "shoot" other bad/annoying drivers.
