We were in a hard-hit area and it was desperate times, with everybody needing the tree removal guys. They were working around the clock, to say the least with no days off. My price included stump grinding. The guy did a really good job, but the price was ridiculous but I didn't have a choice unless I wanted "fly by night" guys. The price was also based on how big the tree was, and it was a big one. The removal guy that I used came highly recommended, and was insured. It would not have taken much for fly-by-nighters to send the tree over onto the house.
Yeah, mine were spindly pine trees so that's probably why I got off so cheap. Plus mine were removed a few years before the hurricane so I didn't have to deal with high prices due to demand.

One time I hired what I was afraid to be a fly-by-nighter to trim my pine trees (before we removed most of them) and they did a great job. The kid who was acting as supervisor/foreman said "oh, you can just pay me" and I said, no, I need an invoice for my records. So he said the office would send me one. I never got one and when I finally tried to do the right thing a few months later and let them know they'd never billed me, they were gone.
One of these days I'll stop being sensitive. Until then, I'll continue to be devastated on a daily basis. Life breaks my heart.

I googled too and all I got were dry medical tomes. I found another one called Menopause sucks, the blurb says it's anecdotal and that's more what I want, personal experiences, not straight facts - I can get those online.

I remember a few years ago when I asked my maternal aunt about her experiences with menopause, as my mother had died very young.
My aunt told me about being in the A & P ( supermarket ) and looking up and seeing the light go around. To which I said , And...." Her response to me was, "that's it". Sheesh...........
