Definitely use the steam cleaner to suck out the excess water. I've used a product called OdoBan before. It is a deodorizer/sanitizer/disinfectent. I got it at Sam's Club. Use it with your steam cleaner after getting up the excess water.

I loved Mr. Green jeans and Mr. Moose and the ping pong balls, but my favorites were when they would do the things to music and it would just be hands in colored gloves dancing and everything else was black. Does that make sense?

And the cartoon guy with the funnel on his head. Tom Terriffic I think it was.

Never really got into Art Linkletter, but remember Candid Camera, What's my Line and To Tell the Truth and Beat the Clock. All favorites.

Does anyone remember the song about a "horse in striped pajamas"?? Wasn't that on Capt. Kangaroo?

Vaguely. Wasn't it about a zebra? Can't remember the show, tho.

Oh, and Merv Griffin a little bit later on. I remember when Kung Fu was popular and he had David Carradine on. He was so high that Merv could barely interview him!

Unklescott! I took your advice about the carpet, and everything is much better! That OdoBan is fantastic! I think that's a product everybody should have on hand!

    Thank you so very much!

I'm glad it worked for you prhoshay. I love that stuff. I tried it a long time ago for my dog's accidents and it worked wonders then. I have since used it for backed up floor drains at work that have overflowed onto the carpet. I keep a gallon on hand at all times.

You'd be surprised at the things you probably have eaten that have anchovies in them. I know I was as I thought they were gross.

But they add a certain flavor to things like tapenade that can't be beat.

Open mind!!!! (that's what I have to tell my daughter. )
