I was truly touched by her singing. She was wonderful...best in ages. What was her AI season and where did she place?

    Third and third, I believe.
(but she won an Oscar, which none of the other AI winners nor wannabes have!)

For the firefighters -- maybe DVD movies -- screwball (as opposed to girly romantic) comedies and action/adventure that everyone (male and female firefighters) likes?

Thanks Ellen. I was just reading that this is her first public appearence since the senseless murders of her family. My deepest condolences to Jennifer.

I sobbed like a baby when she came out and began to sing. My hubby looked at me funny because he didn't know it was the first performance since her family was murdered. She did an amazing job!

SB Commercials. I thought most of them were pretty good. I always love the Clydesdale ones.
but I have to say my favorite was the Coke and the Bugs stealing the bottle. I thought it was well done and entertaining.

Jennifer Hudson did an outstanding job on the National Anthem. I still can't believe that she lost American Idol.

The commercials that I remember the most are the Pedigree one, "Maybe you should get a dog." The Budweiser one with the Clydesdale that fetches that huge tree limb. And the E-Trade babies.

Bruce Springsteen was awesome, too. The man is certainly aging well isn't he?

I'm not a huge fan of rock music, but Bruce did "bring it", didn't he?? Love watching him with Steve Van Zandt. Watching Steve on stage doing his thing, and then watching him on The Sopranos is just fascinating, seeing him in 2 totally different arenas.
