I just started reading the text of our Presidents inaugural address and what kept going through my head was John F Kennedy Jan 20, 1961. I am so proud having this man as President.

i have a lot of faith in him ... but i hope that the power of the office doesn't go to his head and he decides he can do whatever he wants and get away with it, like clinton and the monica scandal. i liked clinton and voted for him too, but he really disappointed me when he coudln't keep his promise to his wife and thought he could mess around IN THE OVAL OFFICE! (don't they have security cameras in there??) and then LIED about it. same with edwards ... i liked him but was very disappointed when i found out he had that affair ... especially since it was while his wife was sick ... and then LIED about it.

I just love that Obama seems so optimistic. Love his smile, and that he and Michelle both seem so down-to-earth.
I'm really proud to have him as my president.

I have voted for President since 1972. Obama is the first president that I voted for in the primary election. It has been a long wait for me! I am thrilled. It is the beginning of a new era.

I haven't been able to take my eyes off my tv. I can't see enough of President Obama taking that oath, seeing the enthusiasm of people of every generation and ancestry and watching our President dance with his wife. It's been a very good day.

I read some statistic that we've had something like 50% of our last 6 presidents be lefties as opposed to that being only about 10% of the general population. Anyway, apparantly we've had some lefties as president lately and not just Obama. They didn't say who the other ones were.

Yep, I'm proud this guy is representing America. I won't have to cringe when he opens his mouth to "conversate" with heads of state anymore.

Remind me not to ask Jill Biden to be my maid of honor. Everything she wore screamed, "Look at me!". Other than that, I have never been prouder to be an American.
