Why is it men can always lose weight faster and easier than women?
I'm happy for you though Newf!!!

Yup, with donuts!!
Congratulations on your weight loss, Newf!
(but I still hate you, did you have to say "but with very little effort I'm down about 20 pounds"?Couldn't you have said you struggled and cried the entire time?)
I spent years inching up in weight and couldn't lose it. The reason that I am able to lose it now is that I am working a second job in the evenings and on weekends, and so I have far fewer opportunites for stuffing my face. I'm also only eating fast food about twice a week instead of daily.
Oh, and I struggled and cried the entire time.

Congratulations on your weight loss Newf. I have a great deal of respect for anyone who can lose weight, with effort or not.
Very much appreciated, Newf.Originally Posted by Newfherder;3276260;

I have found the Truth and it doesn't make sense.
Great news, Newf-Now we know you'd do anything to look good in your green speedos! And thanks for adding that you cried-we like to hear that it's as hard for others as it is for us!
Hi all! I haven't been in this thread for a very long time. So glad everyone is talking weight at the moment. I'm down 20lbs but over the past year...however, to me that is a big deal. Nice little seque into the grocery shopping I saw on my way down the thread, which brings me to my trip to a local supermarket chain today (Stater Bros for those in SoCal.) Anyway - I'm titling my post HOW SCARY IS IT?
Stater Bros has one opening for a clerk. They handed out over 200 applications and while I was there the line for the interview stretched to 100 people. That is how scary it is. Gives me the shivers. Even though I received my very first Social Security deposit today, I still need to find work as I don't have health insurance and one minor hospital stay will wipe out my savings. I hope all of you are in better straights and not in a line that stretches a block for one job opening.
