Gut that is awesome, very, very, cool. I know someone that did a plastercast of their pregnant belly. It was also really cool.

I went to Bodyworlds here in Edmonton. Very glad I went. Phenomenal, interesting, artistic, thought-inspiring, and a bit odd. I chose not to go into the area about pregnancy...just didn't want to get upset at anything so avoided it. There was plenty to see without it. I'd encourage anyone to go and see the exhibit! =^.^=Originally Posted by dagwood;3261555;

Tomorrow I stand for 3 hours in the cold collecting returnable cans and bottles for the after prom party with 2 other mothers. We do it once a month and have a grand time talking and get plenty of business, but it will be freezing tomorrow!

I dropped my cell phone in the toilet.I have it all open to dry out since that worked one other time I got some water damage. A friend told me to put it in rice and that would soak up the moisture. Guess it couldn't hurt but I thought I'd check here and see if anyone knows some secret to getting it dried out and working.
ETA: Yes, the toilet was flushed.![]()

Well at least there is some good news. Good luck getting it dried. I've never had any luck with that but I've heard a few people that said they used their hair dryer set on low or no heat with good results.Originally Posted by lildago;3263119;

Lucky you...that happened to me before the flush...and I actually found a professional phone place to work on it (yes, I told them), but my phone and everything on it was history. That was 8 years ago, though. Cell phone technology has advanced since then.Originally Posted by lildago;3263119;
I would blow dry it with a hair dryer and then turn it on and see if it still works.
I think we just took my dad's phone apart (took the battery off) and let it air-dry overnight when it dropped into the lake one morning. If anything, I'd err on the side of caution and make sure it's dry, because if it's not, then it will die. You might want to wait a day or two... which is annoying, but better than having to buy a new phone, especially if you aren't due for a new one.
Mr. C dropped his phone in a bucket of water a few years back. It took a few days (in the summer) for it to work. It had to dry out completely. Eventually we got a new battery for it and then it worked very well for another few years! He had that phone for 4 years total and he soaked it when it was about 2 years old.
I would take the card and battery out and dry it all out. Maybe wrap it in newspaper or something to draw out the moisture. Good luck!
Well...it works!I opened it all up and put it in a bowl of rice overnight. Then I blow dried it for good measure. I don't know if it was the rice or the blow dryer or a combination of the two, but it worked! I'm just relieved I don't have to buy a new phone.
Thanks for all of the tips!

I may be the only person that doesn't understand why people continuously keep their cell phones in their hands. Mine is either in my purse or my pocket.![]()
