Off to rent this movie now. It's been so long since I've seen it, I can't remember. I watch more tv when I don't feel good, so today I've seen Cannonball Run 2 and now Patton and currently am watching The Hotel New Hampshire.

I guess to tie this in to the 4th of July thread, Patton is a very Patriotic movie. Maybe there will be more of them over the weekend and that is how I will celebrate Independence Day (heck, that one is probably going to be on as well).

We meet friends and family in the park, we drink, BBQ enough food to feed a small town, swim and just flat out relax. Then we watch a great fireworks show. This has become our tradition and more people show up each year. This will be our 9th year doing it and it never fails, as it gets closer to the
4th people start asking "same time, same place"?

Happy Independence Day!!!

Gut, I believe that just the 4th is a legal holiday. My husband's business is closed on the 3rd, but the employees have to either take a vacation day or a WOP (with out pay) day.

Tuesday is the actual holiday. Mail is being delivered on Monday and the banks are open.

That's how I always tell, that and garbage pickup and don't you know, we have a tuesday pickup, so they won't get to us until the next day or so. They only pick up once a week now and I don't know if we can go another day or two without a pickup. Everyone on the street always has full cans on pickup day so we are not alone.
