Well as the name implies, I did payroll for 13 years and actually got my name Mr. Payroll by accident. Back in 1982 when I first started doing payroll, someone took a phone message for me, for Chris in Payroll, and wrote it down Mr. Payroll, cause it sounded the same. So the name stuck with me for the 13 years that I did payroll.

Now I've been with Disney for 7 years and haven't done payroll since 1995. It is a relief not to have to do payroll anymore. Too much pressure! People are mad at you when you make a mistake (luckily I made very few during those 13 years) and they are basically indifferent to you when you do the job right. But the hardest part was knowing how much everyone else made, especially the people that came after you and whose job was not as qualified as yours and making the same or more than you.

Now at Disney, ignorance is bliss. Sure I kind of know how much some of the people make, but their positions are above me and I'm very happy to be making the money I make, with very little on the job pressure. And the benefits are Internet benefits are great!

    Chris

Edit to add : Any screen names that you see as mrpayroll on the Internet are me!

My screen name is based on my skin tone.

I have very very pale skin. Thus the name Moon Skin (it's pale, like the moon). Plus I'm a child, so that makes for the last word, Child.

There you have it, my quick and boring explanation.
I was in love with a difficult man.

What happens when you turn 18 and have a great tan?

Most people think I got my username from my affinity for science-fiction, but it's actually something else entirely. Stargazer lilies are one of my favorite flowers.

The numbers "401" are part of my ss# and I use them on any board I happen to go on because stargazer is sometimes taken.

I love stargazer lillies! (And I like you too, stargazer ) One of my many, many, past jobs was as a floral designer, and I got to work with them all day (watch out for the fuzzy ends in the center, they stain!). Anyhow, I loved them, and the bonus was that when I left work, I was wearing a natural perfume! *sniiiiiffff........ahhhhhh*

Just to stay on topic, I don't know if I posted here before (and I'm too lazy to look ) but I know I've said it somewhere...but anyhoo, my user name came from the book Bridget Jone's Diary, Bridget's best friend (although I'm not much like the character, but a few friends started calling me this after we all read the book. ). She is so non-me. Smoker, heavy drinker, curses like a sailor (well I don't smoke anyway......Kidding! )

I can't imagine you as as any of those things

I've always liked your username though

I think the scent is why Stargazers became my favorite. I have learned that I can't have an entire bouquet in the house, though. A little overpowering

I didn't even post in here, so here goes my story.

I first discovered internet while I was taking a computer class in high school. One of our final projects was to do a web page. I decided to do this page on my favorite music group at that time, Silverchair.
I liked the theme of "silver", so I used it for all my internet names.
    Then came the FORT!
I didn't want to only use Silver, so I was searching really hard for another word to complete my username.
One day, I saw the cute little star smilie!
That was it, Silverstar was born!
When you type it in Google, you get casinos, companies, resorts, cruise lines etc.
