Had I waited to fill up my convertible until today I would have saved $10.

Depending on the brand and area of the city, anywhere between $3.49 and $3.75 for regular.

We're trying to conserve as much as possible right now, but the entire city is in a jam.

I cancelled an appt. this morning because it wasn't necessary, it was just a sort of luxury, I guess, so I could conserve what I've got in my tank.

the neighbor was out mowing this morning and I wanted to run over and shout: STOP, you're wasting gas right now!!!!

wha?? why? I swear I live on an island..

Gas prices rise and drop in the rest of the country and good ol St Law Co just stays the same.. $3.89 to $3.95

Saw several stations today with gas. So hopefully our shortage is over for the time being. It's still at $3.79 though

We're down to $3.24 in Iowa. Why do I have a feeling we'll see less than $3.00 by election day and than it will shoot back up again?

I'm in Iowa too. Gas here was $3.24 yesterday. Today it's $3.14!! My husband and I were just talking about the same thing today regarding the prices and the election.

I have about a quarter of a tank in my car, so now I don't know if I should fill it now or wait a bit and see if it goes down more.

    Re: Gas Prices

Well I think it was Tuesday or Wednesday that I posted that we were below $3.50 around here.

Then on Thursday, it went down to $3.46.

Today my husband called me up saying that one station was now down to $3.42.

About 3 minutes later, he called again and said that another station was selling gas for $3.31!!!!

I still don't understand how the prices can be so different, especially when both of these stations are owned by the same company and are in the same zip code!
