I swear, someone should organize a National No Drive day. Where everyone just stays home. Maybe it would be enough for the Oil companies to feel it.

Anyway, back on topic, gas here is $3.09.

At a Sheetz here, it was still under $3 tonight.
The rising prices hadn't really made me change my driving habits. Till now. I have a gas-efficient car, but I can't afford this. I'll be thinking twice before I jaunt 15 miles to the mall just on a whim. I really think these prices are going to start affecting things like that -- other aspects of the economy, like retail.

Most of ours are around $2.89, the Kwik Shop had theirs at $3.19 this afternoon but now it's back down below $3.

Report him to your attorney general's office, Unk. Ours announced today that they'd be monitoring reports of price gouging closely.

I got that price from a local television station's price watch web site. The person who posted said they reported it.
I was talking with a guy yesterday as we were filling up about how buyng gas was like playing the futures market. We were wondering when it would hit $3. Today wasn't one of our guesses.

Just got home from my son's varsity soccer game. Stopped for gas $3.20 per gallon. Flint, Michigan - highest unemployment rate in the U.S., very little public transportation available. What are people gonna do?

I posted this on 8/15. That seems like so long ago now.

I live in North Alabama and this morning my local gas station had regular gas at $2.58/gallon-on my way home it had risen to $3.09/gallon. What in the world are we gonna do?
The local TV station showed where some gas stations in Atlanta today had gas at $5.87 a gallon...........
