BFD, I remember that. I remember when it was big when gas went up 4 cents at first. That was a huge increase and then it started going up by 10 cents an average. Now it's the motto 2 steps forward 3 steps back for gas.

Unk, I'd welcome $3.65! I paid $3.91 the other day. :thud I could only afford $30 and that didn't come close to filling the tank. When I filled up a few weeks ago, it was $3.85 and I paid over $50 to fill the tank. I've started submitting mileage reimbursements for any errand I run at work. No way I'm doing that for free any more. I'm lucky that I get pretty good gas mileage, but still.
When my husband gets back from deployment he is talking about staying on the ship 3 nights a week (and he isn't the only one who will be doing that!) because it takes $80 to fill his tank and he drives 104 miles a day and doesn't want to pay more on gas then he does for the truck note and insurance combined. The lowest price I've found around here is $3.33 and the highest is $3.54 (that I know of)
Today we jumped from 3.43 to 3.59. :crying Driving to work everyday is really starting to hurt! :ohno
That's wild because it dropped here to $3.39 - $3.42. :ohno I filled up my cruiser. :up It uses premium so I paid $3.62 compared to $3.79 last Thursday.
Hasn't gone down any up here, just keeps going up and up.
Cheapest in my area is now $3.69 and the highest "cheap" gas is at $3.79. I have seen stations selling for $3.85 and $3.89.
I heard someone say tht prices could go up to $10 a gallon by Labor Day.
:ohno
My mother has decided that she is no longer going to need a car (she's 80) especially since she and Dad (he's almost 83) go everywhere together in his car. So they said they would sell us Mom's car for my daughter for dirt cheap. Hubby is using that car now to go back and forth to work, since it gets twice the mileage his F150 Ford truck gets!
Ours jumped 4cents/L today to 1.31/L or 5.24/g
Ours haven't gone up, but they haven't gone down either. We're holding at $3.41 at the cheapest places.
Well if I get a horse I can let it graze in the yard, thus removing the need for mowing which also takes gas. 2 birds with one stone! :lol
I am really prioritizing my errand running and making less trips and making the trips I do make count by trying to get more done in a smaller area thus saving fuel consumption. And I haven't been running the ac either.
We're still averaging $3.89 a gallon here. It's a bit ridiculous at this point. Going anywhere takes major planning and I drive a steady speed no matter what the speed limit is in order to conserve in town.
