We're at 3.96 a gallon right now. By this weekend I guarantee it will be 4.00 at least! This is insane!
Yup, with donuts!!
Gas has jumped from 3.10 to 3.35 in a week!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm certainly in favor of the proposed federal gas tax holiday. And I drive a reasonably fuel efficient car. We are just staying home, can't afford to go anywhere. Between gas and groceries, we're going to have to make do with scrabble and tv.![]()

I am so thankful I am able to work from home. It's 50 miles round trip for a work day if I go in. I get 30 miles to the gallon but I can easily use an entire tank in a week just going back and forth to work and nowhere else. Mr buglover has a van and it gets worse mileage so we plan every place we have to go so we make one trip instead of going to different places at different times. It's just getting ridiculous!

OK, I'm NOT going to complain about $3.35 here then.Originally Posted by buglover;2929592;

And land and housing prices are still affordable. We just looked at 3 acres with a 4/3 house, full basement, 2 car garage, separate workshop and in ground pool for $200,000.Originally Posted by buglover;2929669;
It is absolutely beautiful here and the Greenville area is currently in the top 5 areas of the country that is actually growing and that also includes job growth. But shhh! It'll get really crowded here if too many people find that out.
And gas, cigs and fireworks are cheaper!!!!
And really, where else can you stop and buy gas, cigs, beer, fireworks, boiled peanuts and homemade blackberry jam ALL at the same shack, I mean, store????Oh and any number of items with a Confederate flag on them as well? It's like a giant redneck superstore. I'd bet they h ave those nekked women mudflaps too.
But the tortillas are made of cardboard.![]()

On the "cheap gas prices" online site for my zip code, prices range from a LOW of $3.41-9/10 to $3.59-9/10.
Most are definitely over the $3.50 mark.
Other places I have seen this week are listing at $3.65-9/10 for the regular. I was too shocked to even look at what premium is going for!
