Wait for it, the prices will probably start climbing again in the next week or so in anticipation of Labor Day. It just cracks me up that you go to work and the station is at one price, come home and it's changed. Two days after the weekend, it will probably drop again.

    Re: Gas Prices

It was $3.09 last week. I paid $2.77 today at Sam's. It seems to be about $2.92 average around here.

    Re: Gas Prices

Ours were as low as $2.38 before Labor Day. Then that weekend, they climbed to $2.45; now they're back down to $2.41.

    Re: Gas Prices

I didn't actually look at the price, but I needed gas (emphasis on needed) so I stopped and it was only 40 for a complete fill. That's a good chunk cheaper than I'd normally have to pay. If only I knew how much a L it was.

After the news of the Texas oil refinery explosion and fire this morning, prices around here jumped 15, from $3.05 to $3.20. Come on, it doesn't affect the gas that is already in your underground tanks!!!!

It happened during Katrina, too. I swear the eye of the hurricane hadn't even hit land and prices went up almost a dollar a gallon.

    Re: Gas Prices

I stopped for gas today. They were out. Seriously. Only had supreme left and I wasn't going to pay those prices.
