They do that mainly because there is more demand for gas right off of a freeway so they can charge more.

I always make it over to our local Sam's Club whenever possible... as their gas price is always at least 5 cents cheaper than any other station around. This last year it has MORE than made up for the $30-$35 membership fee.

Here we are $1.95 too but I think we are in the same city.

I filled up my almost empty truck for $45! WOW! I am so happy with that price!

Our gas is $1.85 here. I drive a small SUV and filled it up for $25 today. I about died. It needs to keep going down and stay down.

Passed a $1.82 sign and cheered. I filled up yesterday for $10....I only needed 1/4 of a tank. Had to use the discount coupon before it expired.

    Re: Gas Prices

My cheapo station is down to $2.13. Average prices here are still around $2.20 and higher-priced stations are still going at $2.31. Of course, I go to the cheapo place!

Interesting to note, on the news tonight, it was stated that gas is down a dollar a gallon in the last month and also that a year ago, gas was going for about $3.09-$3.10 a gallon. It also said that prices may go up next week, just in time for all those packing up and traveling over the long Thanksgiving weekend.

    It's $1.82 here.

They always find some reason to raise the price. I just heard something about an oil tanker being held by Pirates. Yeah, Pirates!! How weird is that? The tanker was headed for the US, so I suppose that will be enough to raise the price some and now with winter setting in and the holidays....

Yup. Somali pirates. Definitely not Disney.
