Today we are at $1.89 in Wichita.
Yesterday it was $2.20, today when I drove by it was $2.01 and I had a 5 cents off coupon! I paid $1.96! I filled up for less than $20!![]()
I got gas on Sunday for 2.19 at Costco in Oregon. What a relief...
Paid $1.84 this morning.
Supposedly there is a gas station down at the beach that is $1.50.... I haven't seen it but others have told me about it. Our state average is $1.99 as reported on the news this morning.
"Prices are not expected to go any lower unless barrel prices drop more."
Well... DUH! LOL....I just had to shake my head at that comment from one of our local radio guys. No. Really? They will drop if barrel prices go lower? LMAO. Sorry, that just struck me as a rather ridiculous thing to say.

It's been $1.99 here for a few days. I guess I should go fill up because then it will go down again. That's been the pattern so far anyway.![]()
Here is the latest on the price of a barrel of oil...Hopefully, reduced use will keep the price down.
Oregon average gas prices lowest since March 2006

The Associated Press
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The average price of gasoline in Oregon has fallen to its lowest point in more than two years. The statewide average for regular gas dropped 19 cents this week to $2.38 a gallon, the lowest it's been since March 2006. AAA Oregon said the national average fell 17 cents to $2.22, its lowest level since mid-February 2007. It was just four months ago when the average price in Oregon reached a record high of $4.29 on July 3. Crude oil prices were hovering around $59 a barrel in trading on Tuesday, a 60 percent drop from the record high of $147 a barrel set on July 11. The troubled global economy and a decreasing demand for fuel are cited as the main reasons.
The only way prices are going to stay down is if people continue to use less, but with the cost of gas down, I hear of many people who are driving more again vs buses or walking etc.
