No wonder, you have really big dogs.... Anyway, it's a jolt to dig up a thing that looks like that, but they sure are tasty.Originally Posted by Newfherder;3221237;

I have found the Truth and it doesn't make sense.
I guess Newf, Rattus and I have dirty minds as I didn't think it looked like The Virgin Mary and baby Jesus either.![]()

I was going to add additional thoughts, but I think I'd better not. Thanks for the continuous humor!
I think that qualifies as pomme-ography.
Count your blessings!
So, I inherited what was, last season, a truly beautiful geranium. I'm a poor person, so I don't have tons to spend on a new garden, and I'm attempting to winter this plant over.
Just before I brought it in, last fall, I cut it back to a few stalks, fed it quite well, and have been watering it just enough to keep it alive.
We are far from warm weather here (I live in MA), but my question is about how to bring it outside again. Do I need to harden it off, as if it were a seedling, or can I just plop it down, once weather (night and day) permits?
On a side note, I went vertical last year, and had both cukes and eggplants out of my vertical planter. I had greenbeans in window boxes (although on the ground). All did quite well. Sadly, I dislocated my shoulder shortly after planting and have not had the strength to get the old potting soil out of the vertical planter, but I will get it done before this season starts here!
