Keep it up lildecorator, and soon, people will pay you for your decorating prowess. Or better yet, you may get your own show on HGTV - wouldn't that be cool!

Help finding a book case/ shelf for living room

Need help finding a shelf (for books or knick-knacks) that is for a living room or bedroom that has 5 or 6 shelves that get larger toward the bottom (like a triangle or pyramid), and the shelf portion is rectangular, and that is free standing, not a lean to, and that has 4 sides or "legs", and that is accessible on all four sides or doesn't have a back to it. I saw one in a magazine and have not been able to find it in a store or on the web. It's not s "corner" shelf although I want one for a corner of my living room.

Anyone have any idea what I'm talking about or looking for? Thanks in advance!

Seems like I've seen something like that at Pier One, or Crate and Barrel.

    ETA: Like this?

That is really close Lucy - but it was more square and less rectangular...I guess more narrow? That looks like it would go along a wall and the one I saw was more for a corner area... not against the wall but sort of free standing. But we went to Pier One and they have a bookcase that is closer to square and less pyramid shape that I might just end up getting. I really want what I wanted though. I'll keep looking. I have found they are also called Etageres as well.

This is close but more rectangular and all four sides leaning instead of just two. I know - I'm picky!

That's a nice one, PGM. You might also try JCPenney, too, amazingly enough. It seems like I've seen some there, too.

I have the leaning ones that you were referring to.
