    three out of three?

I've heard that one can only hope for a maximum of two out of the following for their life:

    The perfect job
    The perfect place to live
    The perfect mate.

i.e. in order to have the perfect job and the perfect mate one must compromise on the perfect place to live. So far, I think I agree. I find that I consistenly sacrifice relationships in order to have happiness in my career and where I live.

Is this true? Does anyone have three out of three?

well, my husband hates his job, and the winter months wreak havoc on his indoor allergies, so he's not thrilled with where we live, but he loves me.

I on the other hand , LOVE where we live, LOVE my job and LOVE my husband. So I have all three.

If we ever move it would be to a place where there were no real seasons. I wouldn't like that, but I might learn to like it if the house and property were great.

Since there IS no perfect place to live, I'll agree and say there is no way to achieve all 3

I don't know about perfect, but I'm happy with all three of mine.

I'd rather be writing fiction for a living, but my job's OK. Let's call it "not perfect," though. That makes me 2 out of 3, which, as Meat Loaf will tell you, ain't bad.
When you're ten years old and a car drives by and splashes a puddle of water all over you, it's hard to decide if you should go to school like that or try to go home and change and probably be late. So while he was trying to decide, I drove by and splashed him again. - Jack Handey

I found the perfect place to live but I can't get back out to the Caroline Islands again since my wife won't let me oh, and my job sucks eggs big time so that just leaves my wife. She is doing good right now
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!" -- Steve Parker
