Thank you Gutmutter! Happy Halloween to you, too. I'm headed to Disneyland Saturday, from 8am to midnight, for their "Halloween Time". Sixteen hours of endorphin producing delightfulness. The roaming characters dress up as characters too, it's hysterical.

You go girl! You look fabulous as Pamela Anderson!

I love Halloween. No-one else in my family does. So I don't do much. I just found out that my neighbor has a real fog machine. But he's moving and wouldn't let me have it.

I'm already half-through a box of Nestle mini-chocolate bars! Best part of Halloween I must say. Those little -100calorie bars! They're small....have several!

Re: Happy Halloween

I have the willpower of steel lately as I keep walking right past the Halloween candy and stare straight ahead. I know I will cave eventually, but right now, I'm determined not to buy any this early.

Re: Happy Halloween

This is the time of year when I get a craving for a big bag of candy corn mixed with dry roasted peanuts. Salted Nut Roll heaven.

They are selling this already mixed at Cracker Barrel in the gift shop. Was in there about 3 weeks ago and they were sampling it and selling jars of it.

I have never liked candy corn, but my family adores it. Just give me the chocolate!
We would go through my daughter's candy after she went trick or treating just to be safe and I'd always tease her with, "oh no, this one looks suspicious, better let mom eat it!" Didn't fly.

This is/was the best part of trick-or-treating with the kiddos! I'm a sucker for Reeses Pieces and Peanut Butter Cups, so both girls always dug them out of their bags for me, placating me for the hours spent trudging up and down the streets of our neighborhood while they begged for candy.

This year, we are letting my oldest daughter throw a Halloween party at our new house. She's in 8th grade, so it will be... interesting, to say the least. We're busy now trying to decide on food, activities, and decorating ideas. Of course it will be a costume party. It has been fun to plan, and hopefully the kids will have a great time.

Re: Happy Halloween

I am trying my best to think up a costume......last year I was cupid with pink heart guns. I was thinking fallen angel? All white with blood caked in my hair and dented halo? Any other good ideas from fellow Halloween lovers?

Re: Happy Halloween

HAPPY HALLOWEEN to all my Fort friends!

I hope you have a very enjoyable and safe evening!

I've decorated my home with a lot of nice black cats, a witch who flew into my window and some happy pumpkin windsocks...nothing too scary. The kitties will not like the noise of little feet trudging up and down the veranda and the trick or treating sounds so I'm closing off the front entrance with my french door. I imagine they'll be hiding for a few hours in the basement.

Local news stations have cautioned dog owners to ensure that they recognize your own children when they dress up in their costumes. Many freak out. One sweet dog bit his own owner who was 6 and she needed stitches. Also, don't approach stray dogs in your cotumes as they get scared too! Remember this is a very stressfull day for pets!

Have a Spooktacular Evening! BOO!
