I have no idea about floor cleaners, I use Windex and a sponge because our kitchen and bathroom floors are so small.

Thanks MRD and, yes, "glug" is a definite measurement. Just like "thingie" is a word I often use when talking to computer tech support!Originally Posted by myrosiedog;3136516;

I have older linoleum in my house and I have tried EVERYTHING including bleach to get it clean. It never looks clean. I have tried that magic eraser on it and even that doesn't get everything.
Is there ANY WAY to get a cleaner looking linoleum floor besides replacing it?

I ended up buying a large (machine washable) rug!
My husband works in a hospital and the housekeeping/janitorial staff there use a lot of ZEP products. They are available at Home Depot and we've tried a few of them out. The foaming carpet cleaner is amazing! They probably have something for linoleum.
We also use the "pet stain/odor control" carpet cleaner when we take on the VILE job of steam cleaning our carpet about every 6 months. We just rent the steamer for a day and use the Zep stuff.

A gal I used to work with swore that using Easy-Off oven cleaner on linoleum worked. I have never tried it though.
Speaking of vinegar have you tried that? It will get it cleaner than bleach does as it leaves no residue and should give the floor a decent shine.Originally Posted by myrosiedog;3137397;

Yes, I would be afraid of bleach taking off the finish on linoleum.

Thanks all, I'll try you're suggestions.
I've bleached it several times and the finish is still there. So are the stains.

Have you tried just letting the product you're using just sit on the floor for awhile MRD? Or are the stains embedded?
I very much believe in rescuing animals, not buying them.
