YA, there's nothing wrong with dating younger women....however, take a look at the current Bachelor season and you'll realize that there's plenty of older women that have just simply put off getting married for whatever reason (and so they have no kids or baggage). You just never know....I hope you're not limiting your options to "only" younger gals. You'll find the right "significant someone", I'm sure. It's all about marketing.

YA... it's been my experience that people, men or women, who limit themselves only to certain categories of the opposite sex are often sorely disappointed. Take it from me, what you think you want is 90% of the time not what you truly want or not what you need. That's probably why you're running into issues... you're seeking out the younger, possibly immature and shallow women that just aren't right for you.

Take advice from speedy the superstud and throw out your rule book.

I'm the opposite of DisFUNctional. I'm the "older guy" who likes younger women. I've never really been interested in older women or even really womem my age. Part of that is the whole "women my age all have kids and an ex husband" baggage train. I'm not all that experienced when it comes to relationships, so I don't think I'd be emotionally prepared to handle being "Super Dad" to someone else's kid. Not to mention the ex-husband bad marriage baggage. So I tend to look further back down the choronoligical tree to find a girl who doesn't have so much baggage and yet doesn't have too much experience for me. It's a very thin line that's hard to tread...

The problem though is that not many younger women are all that interested. I get asked from time to time "Why are you not already married?" I usually just laugh and say "There's a time limit on that now?" and that usually shuts them up. But sometimes I have to wonder... is there something about me that turns women off? Am I giving off "really creepy old guy" vibes?

Oh, heh heh....guess I won't be receiving that resume any time soon.

(I don't date men with kids for the same reason. I may sound selfish, but I've raised my kids, I'm not going to raise someone else's.)

Your post caught my attention because I'm VERY interested in a man quite a bit older than me. I'm not sure how old you are, but he's in his mid-40's. I guess part of what would hold me back is wondering "does he not ever want to be married or has he just been waiting for me to come along?". I want to get married, so wouldn't get involved with a man who just wanted to perpetually date.

Anyway, I guess I kind of got off track talking about me but wanted you to know that there are some younger women who look more at the personality and character than the age difference.
