A friend of mine has fertility problems and she tells me all the stuff her doc tells her and one thing that stuck with me was: don't do it as often as you can. The man needs time for his body to replenish quality sperm so he should only ejaculate every 2 days - with or without you. I remember this so well because (although it is very serious) I thought it was very funny that she was 'perscribed' sex. :lol

Then we just made sure to have sex on the day I was Ovulating, and I stuck a pillow under my hips and went right to sleep. Worked the first time. :up

This is so true. I got pregnant eventually after years of trying, and started having some spotty bleeding. I was diagnosed as having a miscarriage, and had a d&c, then seven days later, I barely made it to the hospital in time to be rushed in for emergency surgery...I had had an ectopic pregnancy and came within hours of dying. I had never felt right about the miscarriage diagnosis, but didn't act on my uneasiness, and it cost me a fallopian tube, and almost my life. So do make sure you are in tune with your body.

Aww..best of luck to you, combatcutie. :) I really wish the best of luck to you!
Hi All, I am prego too! I didn't even know this thread was on here!
I will be 20 weeks next week. On Tues we will hopefully find out what we are having! I already have a beautiful 2 1/2 year old daughter.
Let's see, what I can remember to reply to from the previous posts:
When I told my Dr we were trying, she told me to have sex everyday from 12 days after the start of my last period. But I don't remember when she said to stop. Anyways, if you are regular, you should be OK, I think problems come up when you aren't regular.
Do not touch my belly! I hate that. I think I must radiate that because my first pregnancy, only once did I have a stranger ask me if she could & I was like 39 weeks pregnant.
I am due Aug 31st & my 35th birthday will be Aug 10th. I am considered AMA! The Dr also recomended an amnio & I wasn't going for that. But there is a new test that they can do. It is just 5 DROPS of blood & an ultrasound to measure the fluid behind the baby's neck. It can detect 2 major birth defects. Anyways, it came out OK for us. I also have the AFP test at 16 weeks. I never heard back, so I am assuming that everything is OK.
I pretty much love being prego, but not because I'm some earthy-birthy mamma. I just feel pretty good. I didn't have morning sickness. I think this week is the first week that I am actually wearing maternity clothes too. First time I only gained 33 pounds & I seem on track for that this time too. Dr is getting mad at me for not gaining any weight. But don't hate me, I was cursed with an almost 9 pound baby!!! We'll see how big this one is!!!
I gotta go back to work, but I can't wait to read what everyone else has to say!
pfeifferdcat, I am also considered AMA. :lol I was for my second pregnancy as well. Like you, I chose not to have an amnio with this pregnancy or with my previous pregnancies. We chose to do the Level II Ultrasound and take it from there if they found any visible signs of problems.
The funny thing is, I'm actually young compared to a lot of the new moms I know. Several of our friends are older than I am and just starting out. Anyway, Good luck!
Sorry to post teice in a row...

I have another friend who tried for "3" years with no luck. She finally decided to go see a specialist...on the first visit he told her she didn't need to be there because she was already pregnant. :lol
Fertility is such an odd thing. Each person is different and has different issues. You rarely know what they are until you are emotionally invested in the process.
