I too had a miscarraige before having my first child. I have two, aged 15 and 12. None of my pregnancies were totally miserable, but not pleasant either. Morning sickness ended at about week 13. I never threw up, just wished I would.
I'm the one to talk to though if you want an easy labor story. From start to finish about 7 hours total with both and not hard until the end. No drugs, just breathing and small episiotomies. And my second was over 9 pounds!!!
Sorry Hep, I loved being pregnant! However, I did have a relatively easy pregnancy, so it's easy to love it when it wasn't so bad. It's the staying pregnant thing I can't seem to do lately. 4 miscarriages in 2 years. I don't think I can try anymore, even though I have the ache for more. It's too heartbreaking. My daughter is 6 so life has become easier with her being pretty self-sufficient as far as lots of things (except tying shoes - OMG it's hard to teach that!!). I'm at an almost-okay place about not having any more.
As far as touching me when pregnant, I was pure E-V-I-L when strangers approached my belly. Once I even said to this woman, "what are you doing? I'm just fat!" :lol The look on her face..... and I'm not really a germophobe in general, but when it comes to babies hands and their fixation with putting everything in their mouth, I got crazed. I told people if they really wanted to feel her skin, they'd have to touch her calf. Told you I was evil :devil
Congrats to all the mommies to be. Hep, I was estatic when I was pregnant with Lil LG. After a long time of TTC and fertility treatments, I was so damn happy to be pregnant, well, let's just say I'd take pregnant over "trying" a million times over. The whole first trimester was a little stressful because I had to stay on hormone treatment to make sure I didn't lose the pregnancy, and wondering that whole time if it would "stick" once I got off the twice daily WARNING - ICKY TOPICClick to see Spoiler:
but after that, life was cake. Like Duxxy I had post partum euphoria, couldn't wipe the smile off my face with a power sander. Also like Duxxy I had the 40+ hour labor (luckily no c-section, though), but even that was small potatoes when I got to hold my little girl. My baby, who will be starting KINDERGARTEN this fall :eek
having a baby grow inside of you is a very special time. Enjoy it as much as you can, ladies, and make sure to drink lots of water to stay hydrated. :)
ETA - Oh, and everyone on God's green earth came up and touched my belly. I didn't care. I was so damn happy, any fool who'd come over to touch me, I'd start telling them about baby names and whatnot. I was much more touchy about people wanting to touch my baby after she was born than touch me when I was enormous. And as a 5' 1" small framed woman, I was ENORMOUS and unable to wear most maternity clothes for quite some time. ;)

combatcutie....we just took birth control and that seemed to work. :lol I must be highly fertile. I was on the pill with my son and daughter. After I had my daughter, I started using the patch and got pregnant with #3. I kid you not, I never missed a day and I changed my patch faithfully every 7 days. I must be part of the 1%...
I have some friends who bought those test kits to let them know when they were ovulating and I've heard about the legs in the air maneuver as well. Just relax and have fun in the process.

We wanted to have a baby in the winter as we felt it would be the best time for us. So at the beginning of Jan. I went and saw the Dr. and told him, he checked me out, I then went and saw the dentist (I heard that you should see the dentist before trying as you are more sensitive to pain if something was to happen) they both gave me the greenlight and we started trying on Valentines Day (no special positions or anything). A month later I (when I was about 5 days late) we took the test and boom it was +++!! I never thought it would happen like that (so fast). So my suggestion is to keep track of your ovulation dates and don't do anything different than you did before, just do it as often as possible :laugh
Combat, I like L.G., went through all kinds of treatments to try to get pregnant. Mr. Rose and I had one disaster after another (won't bother you with details). I'm not sure how long you've been trying or how old you are, but you might want to consult a specialist if within 6 mo's or so, you're still not pregnant. There are so many ways to help with fertility these days...I've heard those ovulation kits are helpful. :nod

In my sister's case, she needed a small surgery before she could get pregnant, and they found it easily once they looked for it - but she spent a year trying before they would run any tests.
