    Congratulations, all you expectant moms!
I'm not one of you, and shall henceforth avoid this thread, as I do want kids someday and fear the true details about what is involved in having them might drive me to be a nun.

    Holy cow, I hope not.

    Anyhoo...

Congrats everyone!! I have a toddler,so it wasn't that long ago I was pregnant myself. I'm a pretty jaded person, in general, but I honestly found the whole experience pretty magical. Relax, have fun with it, and write down everything. I just wrote little snippets down in the back of a book once a month about how I was feeling and what I was experiencing. Just a line or two. But I LOVE to go back and read it.

I don't have children and have never heard of the book before. Maybe others on the board will know more about it.

Not to start anything, but I would suggest not recommending this book (or recommending) unless you have personal experience with it. There's a lot of controversy about the techniques used. I know this book has caused major heat on both sides of the opinions and people can get very defensive. It's just one of those things I've seen get wayyyy out of hand! I have no opinion one way or the other, but just a little friendly advice which you can feel free to ignore

Congrats on your pregnancy, everyone!! Happy & Healthy 40 weeks to you all! (or however many you may have left )

Congratulations all you moms-to-be!! No sweeter sugar than baby kisses!!!
Me - definitely not preggers-THANK GOD!!!
When my youngest was about 7, a waitress commented on what a lovely family we were. She looked at my youngest and said all you need is a little sister. He looked up at her and said "Nope, we cannot have a baby sister cuz my Mom's babymaker is broken." out of the mouths of babes.

It seems like every other woman I know is pregnant. Must be in the water or something. I'm keeing my legs firmly crossed & drinking from verifiable sources so I don't become a mom myself anytime soon!

Congratulations & best wishes to all the Fort moms-to-be.

A FANTASTIC book for any first (or third or fourth!) pregnancy is "What to Expect When You Are Expecting". It tells you pretty much everything you could EVER want to know (or not know) about being pregnant, month by month. I actually had three books that were awesome, each in their own way.

    Wait a sec...*goes to bookshelf*

    Okay, here they are:

"What to Expect When You're Expecting" -Eisenberg, Murkoff, and Hathaway

"The Girlfriend's Guide To Pregnancy" - Vicki Iovine

"She's Having a Baby- and Im Having a Breakdown (What Every Man Needs to Know-and DO- When the Woman he Loves is Pregnant)" -James Douglas Barron

Here's a hint. Put the book for the man in the bathroom. Gross, i know, but it gets read.
